Tour Attraction

Located on the lakeshore of Cheongpungho Lake, the Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex is one of Jecheon’s most famous locations, visited by thousands of tourists each year. The complex houses all artifacts that may have been submerged under Chungju Dam.

The complex is about 280,991m2 large and houses two Treasures (Hanbyeongnu Pavilion in Cheongpung, Stone Standing Buddha in Multae-ri), nine local Tangible Cultural Heritage(Palyeongnu Pavilion in Cheongpung, Geumnamnu Pavilion in Jecheon, Geumbyeongheon Pavilion in Cheongpung, Jecheonand Uncheonggak Pavilion in Cheongpung, Jecheon, and the 4 Houses), 42 examples of dolmens, headstones and statues, and over 2,000 lifestyle artifacts. With its large collection, the complex is becoming the center of Korean traditional culture.

Cheongpungho Lake also features numerous leisure sports. The bungee jump and other amusements are great for flinging away stress.

Although the Lakeside of Cheongpung was created artificially with the construction of Chungju Dam, its size and scenery cannot be compared to any other lakes. Its vastness gives joy to those who see it and thus earned it the name, “the Inland Sea.”

There is also a tour ferry that brings visitors closer to Cheongpungho Lake. The magnificent scenery that can be seen here will bring amazement to your eyes.
