Jecheon was wiped out on the map because people in Jecheon helped the righteous army during Jeong-mi Righteous Army in 1907. Sadly there is no house left that is older than 100 years. During the late Joseon period, people in Jecheon raised a righteous army and gave up their lives to save the decaying nation. Jayangyeongdang Village School (Jecheon Uibyeong Hall)is the place which pays respects to the souls of all Jecheon’s fallen heroes. You can visit Sunguisa Shrine, Jecheon Uibyeonghall, Memorial Monument for Righteous Army, and the Houses of Yu Junggyo and Yu Inseok. There are Cultural Tourism Interpreters, including 2 caretakers, to provide general information about nearby tourist attractions and the history of Jecheon’s righteous army who were of the Hojwa Righteous Army Camp.

    The bus from Jecheon towards Jayangyeongdang Village School (Jecheon Uibyeong Hall) runs 7 times a day (05:55∼21:10). Pass Bongyang and then get off at Jayangyeongdang Village School (Jecheon Uibyeong Hall). The bus from Gongjeon to Jecheon runs 7 times (06:40~21:55).

    From Dongseoul Bus Terminal the bus runs every 30 minutes 31 times a day (06:30∼21:00). The ticket costs KRW10,800 and the travel time is 2 hours.

    The express bus runs from Gangnam Express Bus Terminal (Monday ~ Thursday 06:10~20:50 <20 times>) (Weekends 06:10~21:30 <27 times>). The regular bus costs KRW9,800 and the premium bus costs KRW14,300. The travel time is 2 hours.

    Jecheon Express / Intercity Bus Terminal 3 min. on foot -> Intercity Bus Terminal. Woori Bank Bus Stop (830) -> Gongjeon 3-ri Entrance Bus Stop (1 hr. 4 min.)

    When going by train, take the Mugunghwa Train of the Jungang Line departing from Cheongnyangni Station. The first train leaves at 06:40 and the last train leaves at 23:25. It runs 18 times a day and takes 2 hours 30 minutes. The ticket costs KRW9,400.

    Jecheon Station: 15 min. on foot -> Bukseong Yeollip Bus Stop (830) -> -> Gongjeon 3-ri Entrance Bus Stop (53 min.) -> 16 min. on foot

    From Jecheon drive for about 10 minutes in the direction of Bongyang (National Road 38) and head towards Chungju from Bongyang Samgeori → Gongjeon Samgeori → Towards Jayangyeongdang Village School (Jecheon Uibyeong Hall) → Arrive at Jayangyeongdang Village School (Jecheon Uibyeong Hall). If you use the express way, get off in Jecheon IC and move in the direction of Bongyang . Gongjeon.
