소개
Songgye comes from Songgye-dong, which was named because a brook flowing through the dense pine forest. Songgye Valley, which means the valley of Songgye-dong, is the 7th of the Ten Scenic Views of Jecheon. It is considered as one of the best summer valleys in Korea. People even say if you take a bath there, you won’t be affected by the heat for 2 years. In Songgye Tourist Information Center there are Cultural Tourism Interpreters to give general information about nearby tourist attractions and the history, legends, and cultural stories of Songgye area, the repository of cultural heritage.

  • Public Transportation


    The bus from Jecheon towards Songgye runs 4 times a day (07:20∼15:20). Pass Geumseong-myeon, Cheongpung-myeon, Susan-myeon, and Deoksan-myeon and then get off at Hansu-myeon Office. It takes about 2 minutes on foot to get there. The bus from Songgye to Jecheon runs 4 times a day (09:05∼18:15).

    From Dongseoul Bus Terminal the bus runs every 30 minutes 31 times a day (06:30∼21:00). The ticket costs KRW10,800 and the travel time is 2 hours.

    The express bus runs from Gangnam Express Bus Terminal (Monday ~ Thursday 06:10~20:50 <20 times>) (Weekends 06:10~21:30 <27 times>). The regular bus costs KRW9,800 and the premium bus costs KRW14,300. The travel time is 2 hours.

    Jecheon Express / Intercity Bus Terminal: 3 min. on foot -> Intercity Bus Terminal. Woori Bank Bus Stop (982) -> Deokjugol Bus Stop (2 hr. 22 min.) -> 3 min. on foot

    When going by train, take the Mugunghwa Train of the Jungang Line departing from Cheongnyangni Station. The first train leaves at 06:40 and the last train leaves at 23:25. It runs 18 times a day and takes 2 hours 30 minutes. The ticket costs KRW9,400.

    Jecheon Station: 7 min. on foot -> In front of Namdang Elementary School. Jecheon Station Bus Stop (982) -> Deokjugol Bus Stop (2 hr. 15 min.) -> 3 min. on foot

  • By Car


    From Jecheon drive for 1 hour in the direction of Cheongpung, Susan, Deoksan, and Hansu (National Road 36) and pass Songgye 1-gyo Bridge at Tanji Samgeori. You will arrive at the tourist information center 100m above the Woraksan National Park Management Office in Songgye-myeon. If you use the express way, get off in Namjecheon IC and move in the direction of Geumseong . Cheongpung . Hansu.
