Detailed Introduction

Since the past, Jecheon has been the greatest medicinal herb trading center in the central inland of Korea. Particularly, the region’s hwanggi (Milk Vetch Roots) are famous, and the area is responsible for 80% of the country’s entire hwanggi (Milk Vetch Roots) distribution.

This festival is a regional specialty product festival that seeks to invigorate the wellbeing industry by promoting the excellence of Jecheon’s medicinal herbs and restore Jecheon’s image as a healthy nature city to develop it into an eco-friendly health city.

The festival offers a wide range of events such as fresh medicinal herb and medicinal herb flower exhibitions, display shows of oriental medicine and alcohol, tea, and foods made from medicinal herbs, natural dyeing shows, making medicinal herb fragrance pouches, national medicinal herb cooking competitions, free oriental medicine consultations and sasang constitution diagnoses, and medicinal herb performances.
