Medicine-EXPO Park
If you want to understand the culture of oriental medicine and experience precious values of traditional herbal medicine, it is worthwhile to visit the Oriental Medicine-EXPO Park, which offers lots to see and runs various experience programs. The facilities include the Oriental Medical Life Science Center, International Fermentation Museum, and the Medicinal Herb Products Market.
It is a space to find out about the body, the history of diseases, as well as the principles, diagnosis, and treatments of the oriental medicine, etc. through various medicinal experiences, 4D images, and .
By learning the origin and effects of fermentation food in the past, the museum finds the developmental direction and examines international fermentation foods, fermentation methods, and fermentation processes which are now used in our daily life.
It is an exhibition hall where you can experience medicinal herbs cultivated and grown in Korea as well as international medicinal herbs grown naturally with your five senses. You can meet Jeommal Cave, which is made up of volcanic stones decorated with medicinal herbs and bosai pine trees. It shows the primitive treatments of the prehistoric era.
A huge pagora was set up with chik (Arrowroot) and rattan trees in harmony. Rare peppers, chives, medicinal herb flower arrangements, bosai medicinal herbs, huge herb pots, herb flower arrangements, and bonsai herbs are on display. It is not only a place for selling or displaying but also for providing various other sights to capture the mind of visitors.
