Tour Attraction

“Singing of the Pure Wind and Moon” at the Lakeside of Cheongpung

At the Cheongpung Ferry, visitors can ride a large ferry that passes through Chungju and Janghoe or a round-trip ferry that offers a magnificent view of Oksunbong Peak and Gudambong Peak in a single stop.

Once you board the ferry and give the blue waves and cool wind of Cheongpungho Lake control, the sky comes down to become a sail, and the picturesque scenery will follow you around like a lover.

The Finest of Ship-board Tours: Cheongpungho Lake

Once you ride along the shores of Cheongpungho Lake after passing through Cheongpungdaegyo Bridge, the ES Resort will appear while exuding an exotic aura. After you pass the resort, the beauty and scenery of Geumsusan Mountain comes alive like an oriental painting. The beauty reaches its peak after passing through Oksundaegyo Bridge and seeing the cliffs of Oksunbong Peak and Gudambong Peak.

Time flies by like a dream once you fall into the beauty of the Lakeside of Cheongpung, which clings closely to Geumsusan Mountain. When it is time for you to leave, you will feel a deep sense of sadness and the feeling will remain. Your heart will rush towards Cheongpungho Lake. “Ah, I want to go back!”

A Fantastic Driving Course

This is a spectacular driving course that strikes a balance with natural beauties like the Lakeside of Cheongpung and state-of-the-art leisure and accommodation facilities. It can be accessed by driving towards Geumseong-myeon via Road 82 through Namjecheon IC along the Jungang Expressway.

This route is especially popular in April, which marks the start of the cherry blossom season as flowers come to bloom around that time. The approximately 12km long blossom-filled road looks like something out of a film.

Once you pass through Geumsung’s Nopeundari Bridge, Geumwolbong Peak can be seen with strangely shaped rocks. The colorful and many-shaped rocks are especially beautiful when the sun goes down. If you proceed further, a KBS filming location is placed near the pond. Near the Meeting Plaza are Cheongpung Land with its top-notch bungee jumping site and rock climbing walls, the shell-shaped Cheongpyeongho Lakeside Floating Stage, tourist information centers, etc.

At the Lakeside of Cheongpung beneath Cheongpung Lake Hotel, ferries cruising through the blue water and Sugyeong Fountain can be seen. Once you cross Cheongpungdaegyo Bridge, you can see the Cheongpung Cultural Heritage Complex and the SBS filming site. This path will lead to the ES Resort and Oksundaegyo Bridge. ES Resort, which was designed to bring out the beauty of nature, features walking paths, a deer farm, swimming pool, and barbecuing areas, and feels rather exotic as a result. Unfortunately, entry and accommodations are only available for members.
